I’m no historian, but Hawes presents reasonable evidence for some well-founded takes. The only problem was the editing…so many typos. 😬

That said, I still really enjoyed this! It’s a quick read with plenty of visual aids, and it made me want to explore specific aspects of German history, so, I’d call that a win.

But again…the typos. Hence my middle-of-the-road rating.
